What is it?
--------------
CrashCheck is a small tool mainly useful for Miami users only. It's for all
you freaks using Miami's logging system to track your phone bills. Usually
Miami writes date and time of online and offline event. But when your machine
went offline due to system crash, your log remains incomplete and miss
offline data. Unless you edit the log yourself by hand and type the date
and time, your tracking will remain incomplete and useless.
I also use Miami and logs my call, but I am too lazy to remeber to fix
the log up by hand after every crash I encounter. I decided to write small
tool to handle that for me automatically. And the CrashCheck was born.
Usage
---------
Available arguments are:
LOGFILE - filename of the Miami log file (incl. path if needed).
Instalation
-----------------
Copy the archive contents to any drawer of your HDD (I suggest to use
"Miami:").
Examples
-----------------
* Just add somewhere to your S:user-startup (assuming your log
is named ".logfile" and CrashCheck lives with logfile in Miami's
homedir):
Miami:CrashCheck Miami:.logfile
Important
-----------
Don't forget to reboot after any crash while you were surfing the
net, otherwise your logfile will be fixed next time you boot up,
which give you wrong (big) costs in result.
Related tools
-----------------
You may wish to take a look Miloslaw Smyk's Miami log analiser too,
which parses the log and displays daily and weekly costs.
Bugs
------
None known. If you find one or got any suggestions, please mail me.
History
--------
v1.0 - initial release
Distribution
-----------------
FreeWare. If it fails and destroys you something then oops, not my fault
(but let me know about that - I'll try to dog the creep)!
